Racing at Liberty

Liberty Sailing Club hosts racing three times a week April through to September. Racing is held on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 5:30pm - Sunset and Sundays from 1:00pm - 4:00pm for "sailing light". Sundays will be held only from April-May and Sept - Nov.

Races are held over four 5 week long race series with points from each race culminating in series and over season winners.

As a member of Liberty Sailing Club you have the ability to crew or skipper on a boat for one session a week throughout the race season.

New members typically start out as crew with an experienced racing skipper and crew.

Over time new members provided with tools and instruction to assist them to graduate from crew to racing skipper should they want to.
