Located on the Delaware River in Center City Philadelphia, Liberty Sailing Club (LSC) is a not-for-profit organization owned and operated by its 100+ members. We are the only Sailing Club in Philadelphia that offers access to Club Owned Boats!

One of the most important ways that Liberty Sailing Club is keeping our members safe in 2021 and beyond is encouraging Covid-19 vaccination for 100% of our membership. There is no better way to keep yourself and your fellow sailors healthy and out on the water! please help us put this pandemic behind us.

Upcoming Events

Liberty Sailors, potential members and guests,

The LSC Board closely tracks the COVID-19 situation and guidelines and learned a lot during our shortened 2020 sailing season.

For 2021, we are currently planning to conduct a full sailing season within the prevailing guidelines. Among other things, we are currently sailing with crews to limit COVID-19 exposure potential.

2021 Racing Season:
We are planning a full racing season for Wednesday & Thursday evenings. There will be four, 5-week series' starting in April. A Race Committee will set up a course and keep score.

2021 Cruising Season:

Although the sailing season was shortened in 2020, with smaller crews, the club adapted by holding many more scheduled and impromptu sailing opportunities. In 2021 the intent is to continue getting everyone out on the water as much as possible.

Liberty Sailing Club also recommends ASA sailing courses for aspiring sailors. We offer a club rebate for members who take an ASA course during their membership. For local courses please see libertysailingschool.com.
